  Welcome to EFS

The European Federation of Sexology has just over 50 active member societies and associations. EFS represents sexologists, sexual medicine clinicians and sex educators across Europe.


Current topics:

  • Membership dues - Invoices for 2009 subscriptions will be posted in January 2009. The anual subscription rises to €150 following approval by the GA in 2008. The fees may be paid at any time by bank transfer and now also by credit card
  • Gold Medals 2008 - The 2008 awards were presented at the Opening Ceremony in Rome to George Abrahams (2006 winner), Koos Slob, Chiara Simonelli, Antonio Palha and Kevan Wylie. A gold medal was awarded to Willi Pasini at the 2006 General Assembly in Prague. Maj-Briht Bergstrom Wallan and Erwin Haeberle who were awarded the medal in Brighton in 2004 received their medals in Prague. Pictures are here.

  • Society membership applications welcome - download the form here - please provide two professional references if unknown to the executive committee
  • Congresses in 2008 & 2010 - The advice of the General Assembly in 2006 for hosts was congresses in Rome, Italy for 2008 hosted by ISC and Athens 2010
  • PCO Contract - The PCO AIM has been awarded the contract for 2008 & 2010 congresses: The officers of EFS & AISC & MGR - AIM GROUP, Italy signed a contract on 5th December 2006 in Vienna.
  • Training programmes in Europe - a joint initiative is being developed with ESSM for a common syllabus and curriculum for clinicians in this specialty with a diploma in sexual medicine. Please check the ESSM website for further details.
  • Newsletters - the fourth newsletter is available (June 2007) edited by Robert Porto & Antonio Palha
